As an advocate for social justice, I worked for the British Red Cross Women Support Group in Dalston. Every Tuesday, the group offers a safe environment for vulnerable asylum seekers and refugee women who are socially isolated to recover from the trauma they have experienced. I was commissioned to capture the togetherness of the group and help secure funding for the next year’s group.

Gathering life drawings I did during the sessions as well as videos from performances, workshops, discussions and day trips, I created a video which complimented a poem around being a woman.
